Default '07 2.2 ST Tdci. Remote central locking problem

So I'm looking for some advise...

Last few weeks the remote central locking in the mondeo has really started winding me up. Standing next to the car pressing the lock or unlock button (whichever I'm trying to do at the time) and after about 20 clicks the locking will work.

So, I thought, that's easy enough I'll change the battery in the key fob.

Didn't make any difference.

So what I'm after really is if anyone knows if there is a common fault with the sensor or any other reason as to why I can't simply unlock/lock the damn thing?!

Cheers, Billy

Check the connections in your key fob if its not that its might be the drivers door lock
actuator,a common fault on pre 2004 models.

Have any of you MK 3 ST TDCI owners ever used JLM EGR valve cleaner?. If so, what do you think?.
