Default Mondeo for zetec conversion?

A lad I know has a 2.0 m reg mondeo for sale he only wants scrap money for it.

I think its worth buying its a good runner just rotten.

Whats the engine, box, loom, ecu keys etc worth for a conversion?

Also has mondeo alloys on too. Has to be worth a punt at £100?

Bet you could double the £100 on just the engine alone tbh, 2.0 silvertops aint so thick on the ground anymore.

I thought that even if I strip all the good parts and keep them and weight the shell in only cost me £60

Are the earlier mondeo engines easy to use in a conversion?

Get it bought! As said 2.0 silvertop's are getting harder to find.

To be honest, think the only bit you need is the basic engine ie block and head. Sell or scrap the rest and find some 130 spec injection set up and your sorted.

2.0L silvertops are 136ps standard.

And yes they are easier to convert into a fiesta or escort, rather than the blacktops!

Are you always an arguementive dick when it comes to topics on zetecs???

Silvertops are easier to mount in an escort or a fiesta, as its clear the top engine mount is similar to a cvh. Where as a blacktop is completely different!!!

Does that answer your question???

Must be that time of the month

How many zetec conversions you done?

Guessing zero

If you're modifying the cvh mount then if doesn't matter if it's a Blacktop.

Blacktop sump is better and doesn't need changing.
