Bargain Mk1 Purchase
I recently bought a bit of a bargain Mk1 Mondeo, it had been sat on a drive round the corner from me for about 7-8 years, it's always caught my eye but I never bothered to check the MOT history until recently - it's only done just over 51,000 miles! I knocked on and £200 later it's mine. I've always loved the early Mondeos and they're getting to be a very rare sight on the roads nowadays, so I had to have it. I'm not going to keep this for long, I intend to get it back on the road and sell it on as I've already got 2 project cars. Do we think it's worth the time/money/effort? It's a 2.0 Ghia.
While I was parking it round the back, it started to overheat/steam up and it pissed all it's coolant out right up near the OSF corner. Any particular weak points that are known for these?

As it happens there's actually not a leak, so now I'm thinking maybe it's an airlock or a blocked pipe somewhere. There's nothing under the car or around any components but the expansion tank boils over if left long enough.
Worth mentioning that the fan hasn't kicked in either, even when the temperature gauge was climbing a fair bit
