mk1 1600 gearoil change?
i have a 1600 mk1.5 focus ...best i can see from looking online/haynes its doesnt have a drain plug for the gearbox?
is that right
also thinking it might well need clutch soon , which i would get a garage to do , would i be best to leave the oil and ask them to refill it ? i assume they could tip the box on its side and let most of it out of the driveshaft holes?
is there any prefered gear oil for these ? or all much the same as long as its the right grade

Ask ford for the oil 10w75 or something I'm not sure so don't quote me.
There is a drain and filler under the plastic section on the front of the gearbox. A 7mm hex head opens the filler and a mole grip opens the drain plug.
