Default Car stalling when stopping.

Hi all. I have a problem with my 1999 1.8 focus it keeps idling very low nd lumpy nd also stalling as I stop at junctions, traffic lights etc. I have had the car since Feb 2014 nd changed the vehicle speedo sensor within two weeks of owing it due to similar problems, since then it has not skipped at beat until this morning.
Planning on cleaning up the idle control valve this weekend in hope it will solve the problem.
Any help on what the problem may be and how to fix it will be much appreciated.
Gary.

It is most likely the canister purge valve tube assembly. or the evap purge valve

many possible causes such as a air leak, coil pack etc cant hurt to clean out ISCV though

I had a similar thing...
-Either dying randomly or revving high at standstill.
A slight hissing sound somewhat gave the game away though: the vacuum hose off the inlet manifold was split. Patching that up fixed several running problems

I had the same problems with my focus but no hissing from the vacuum hose as it collapsed and didn't split
