Cold running
Hi All: New to any type of Forum.
Hope I can make myself understood and grateful for any advice.
Focus 1.8 ghia 2006 petrol 73000 miles.
Due to a rock falling off a lorry and wiping out my Mondeo V6, I have just bought the focus; beautiful condition and drives lovely except for one issue I have.
When starting from cold, the temp guage takes ages to move and never gets more than halfway up to the halfway mark, A quarter of the way, although the heater seems Ok. I have to be careful in first gear to dip the clutch quickly as it seems like it wants to stall and when the clutch is disengaged the idling revs bounce up and down between 500 and 1000 revs. it settles down after about 10 mins. My mechanics have checked and say all is well but it seems strange to me. I know we need a settling in time to be completely at ease with a different vehicle and I am ok with it but it could be better.
Any thoughts
Thanks
