Hi guys I've recently bought a 2000 1.8 Lx & find the seat pretty uncomfortable.

I was wondering what upgrades are possible, for example are Ghia seats better & will seats from later models fit?

I'm not interested in ST seats as they cost more than I paid for the car lol

Ghia-spec seats are exactly the same design but a different material trim (either velour or leather)

Zetec-spec seats are IMO very comfortable with a bit more support in them, are a straight swap and reasonably easy to get hold of but mostly only available in cloth trim (heated leather in Zetec-spec) is a reasonably rare 3-door only trim) Don't be suckered into paying much for them though, quite a lot of people upgrade their seats and ask silly money for their old stuff, which they end up throwing away for free anyway. If you're not bothered about having fold forward seats in your 5 door then almost all 3 door interiors will be what you're after as, apart from the poverty spec 1.4 models, all 3-door Focuses are Zetec-spec. Simples? Beyond that you have the half-leather ST170/TDCi Sport which has more supportive seats again (much bigger bolsters on the upper half of the seat) and the RS Sparco's and the expensive full leather ST170 Recaros.
