Default Mk3 Focus'

I have a 2012 Focus Zetec S and have been contemplating the eibach springs, has anyone used these?, I have used Eibach before and are always a safe bet, good ride etc.
The new shape Focus is rather soft and the front especially, so want to firm up the handling.
Reducing the wheel arch gap would be nice too, but thought I'd see if there are many people on here with lowered Mk3 Focus'.

The zetec s already comes with sports suspension as standard fit.

That's what I would have thought. Though I did read on some review from 2012 that it didn't.

Either way, if it does have 'sport' suspension, then I have no confidence in Fords idea of a sport set-up. It is soft, especially the front, which dips mid-corner, therefore you need to balance that with a kick of throttle to lift the front end, not what a good set-up should do.
It understeers far more than my old daily runner (2005 Focus LX).

It is a nice car, but it is no drivers car. The steering is far too light and gives little feed back, the electronic assitance to far too overpowering. This doesn't help in the lack of handling feel.

I agree with you on the electric powersteering. To me it makes the car feel 'weightless' if you get what i mean. But yeah, you can't feel the resistance on the wheel when cornering.

I was really quite disappointed with it. It is only my daily runner, but doesn't go round corners as well as I expected it or give a nice feel and feed back.

Teamtorquesteer do 'rally' style mudflaps for the mk3...

No, that's true. The standard Ford mudflaps do not fit the Zetec S.

Yeah, I gathered that.

I just meant that as I have the Zetec S, I had looked at mudflaps and had seen that rally style ones were available for the Mk3, so just mentioned it.

I have a zetec s I uprated the rear anti roll bar easy to do and made a big difference to handling. I had a standard focus for the day and I could tell a difference into the corners and that was before the roll bar mod. I would do the front roll bar but that's more effort lol. Plus I have noticed the zetec so sits slightly lower than a non zetec so version too. I have mud flaps on but not the standard ones.
