Default Ford Focus Estate 4x4 cosworth

Been sat at work bored like you do and i have a bit of a silly idea, but the more i think about it the more i want to do it. Just wanted other people thoughts about it.

well here the idea:

- Mk1 focus estate, just because of its look and its diffrent.
- 4 wheel drive, not sure if normal route of sierra tunnel etc or a new approach if anyone know of one
- striped out with a cage but tinited windows for the sleeper look
- standard outside
- either your sierra YB or a 24v cos with a turbo or two

or have my dreams already been made a reality, any ideas?

Don't cage it.

Make it a proper sleeper!

Sounds great, another option would be to go awd/ rwd duratec, should be able to use a mazda 6 mps for running gear

just googled the mazda 6 mps and the drive train looks intresting, how difficult do you think it would be to mate it up to a Duratec (parts etc) as a 24v or YB wont fit in that configuration?

I would of thought that the duratec should bolt straight to the gearbox as I think the duratec uses a mazda bolt pattern, i do know the mx-5 2.0 engine is a duratec

not a focus but a damn good write up of an awesome car.

i like the idea, id thought of doing something silly with an escort estate a while back. the boot floors are flat iirc so would be fairly easy to mount a subframe for the rear diff, adjust the turrets, graft a transmission tunnel in and all the business at the front. thats how i'd figured it.
