Hi
A good friend is looking to get a focus rs. What is the power limits on the standard engine? Obviously he is happy to add bolt on bits ie intercooler, turbo, manifolds etc. He wants about 350 to 380bhp. Is this possible on stock internals? He doesnt want to pull the engine apart until it breaks but also doesnt really want to run it right on its limits.

Any solid info would be great. Cheers.

i am running 350 at the moment with a full s/s system with mongose down pipe and decat
k&n gen 11 filter and a live remap from jam-sport with omex launch control and uprated fuel pump (getting a manifold fitted in a few weeks) other than that the engine is bog standard

Cool...is that with a standard turbo or an unrated one? What sort of power will the manifold give?

on standard turbo mate should get about 30 more with manifold

sabre offers a sabre 400package and that goes to 420bhp..with the original engine
if you want to go higher, then the engine needs rebuilding
i'm running +- 350bhp now
so tell your mate to buy an rs1
