ST170 Production Info
So as you may know my ST170 project has stalled some what, this is mainly down to me not really knowing in which direction to take the car, and also due to the MANY people that I have contacted with regards to information or buying bits, only to either never here from them, or to hear from them only to not be sent anything
At the moment I am talking to a guy that owns an ex DTC ST170 car, and will hopefully have some information soon about the engine modification. But for the time being I was wondering if everyone on here could help identify the parts used in this 2001 Production class based Focus touring car. I think each part is an off the shelf item, and not custom made for this car.
I've numbered the parts I need help with.
1 & 5. They look like coils but I don't think they are due to the HT leads going to the coil pack just to the right of the engine, but I don't know what they are ?
2. Looks like a fuel pressure regulator ? but don't understand the set up?
3. This has to be an off the shelf item. Can I ask what benefits would I gain from fitting an alloy expansion chamber ?
4. Any ideas as to why the dip stick is located here, as it normal comes up between the exhaust manifold ?
6. Oil tank ? again if that is so, what benefits would I gain from fitting one to my ST170.
7. Induction system, is this an off the shelf item ? as I'm looking at doing something very similar, but custom made
8. Yellow injectors ? anyone know the spec ?

2> fuel return as well with regulator and pressure gauge maybe?

4> ill take a guess at the dipstick being moved because it has a custom baffled sump??
