Default Reselling a Superchips Bluefin!!!

I put my Bluefin up for sale on eBay last week, just asking £200 for it and hoping to raise a bit more.

I called Superchips today, asking how much it would be for the person to buy it to unlock the unit for use on their car, they came back to me and said we would take the unit and give a £25 dicount on a new Bluefin, basically rendering my Bluefin unsellable!

I couldn't believe it, I took the listing off eBay right away, I'm fuming, surely they can reset the unit, as they stated that they would put it back up for sale, but they choose not to!

Nope not anymore, its cos people like me are selling on eBay, but surely it is within my rights to do so, seeing I paid for it?!?!?

Anyway, an official Superchips statement is on the FFOC board if you're interested...

Email Constantin at super chips he helped me alot when it came to reflashing my bluefin

constantin.tsitsis@superchips.co.uk

i dont know if he can help with the reselling side of things, but you can just remove it from your car find out what the buyers car spec is and tell them that you are buying a new Ford Focus and you want to reset the bluefin it will work with my new car.

It costs £120 INC VAT and DEL, so the Bluefin resale value is would say is no more then £100.

this bfin is F**** nuisance mate bought a restored from vehicle bfin coincidently it was a fiesta zetec 16 cleared ecu with snapon code reader bfin installed no problems after taking ecu memories into itself. I have a focus with a mis used the b fin code reader out of interest and it locked my ecu Ford couldnt deal with an ecu that says its a fiesta so over to the local superchip dealer he coiuldnt with the help of a key programmer specialist unlock the pats code either. My ecu is now at super chips for sorting at considerable expense so far down to me my advice go 4 a plug on chip in future and do the contact cleaning thing get the laquer of the terminals plenty of usa providers will post. Europe is also live with specialist chips I think theres is an optimistic view about hacking these items Is your unit for a 20 focus cos i dont want it im gonnan try the e bay 5.00 resistor and let u know.

OK superchips wouldn't help me this time either, i have a unit sitting here gathering dust. Ive opened it, thinking there maybe some thing obvious worse ways a eprom chip, nope nothing like that at all.

any way as far as I'm concerned you pay for something you can do what ever you like with it. as long as the Map is not copied or altered in any way for resale it should be fine, unlocking the unit i would say is fine. its just no one knows how...

At the end of the day the bluefin unit is good 'n' all but i now would recommend a uni/serial chip setup on the rollers.

i hope this reset thing comes back to bite superchips in the a$$.
