Default Mk1 rs stalling problem

I noticed a while ago when driving. If you are coming to a stop and hold the clutch down while braking the revs would fall as normal but the fall below the idle point for a split second them rise back to the idle point. When it drops below the battery light comes on and then goes back off once it's ideling correctly again.

It doesn't do this all the time just now and then. Wasn't really a big problem but the other day when it done this it actually stalled the engine. It's started first time straight after but was just a little concerned.

I've done a search on here and noticed a few people have had the same problem but no one seems to have mentions a solution for it yet.

I'll probably just the get idle control valve replaced first to see if it makes a difference but people with the same problem have already done this and it hasn't solved their problem.

Car is standard apart from a decat.

Do you think it might be worth changing the DV pipes with silicon replacements?

If you look at the inlet manifold, underneath the throttle body the will be a breather pipe, check this for splits or if its even still on.

Id check any breather pipes bud, ones that go to the dump valve and ones at the back of the inlet. Also check the dump valve itself, it could be sticking.

So had a look today and couldn't find anything obvious. Well obvious to me anyway. I have found another problem though

Where the down pipe connects to the turbo I can feel a lot of air escaping. To me it looks like it's cracked all the way around the weld. So I took some pictures to see if you lot can confirm this or correct me.

I have found one of the pipes to be split under the inlet manifold. Is this a ford only part or is there an alternative from the motor factors for instance?
Cheers
