Default Mk1 focus rs realistic mpg, talk to me

Done a search and didn't come up with to much.

Looking at a focus rs mk1. But what's the realistic mpg round town ( mixed driving )

For a std and lightly modded.

My mate has one with a blue fin and recons he averages about 12mpg and can't better 16 mpg if he baby's it.

Cheers.
( I'm not looking for 30 plus but I get 24mpg out of my trophy Clio 182 so would like to get close to this )

Not had mine long and unsure how to work it out but I'm getting about 230 miles from full to light on, about £60. Whatever that works out to, that's pretty much town driving all the time

Figures are quoted as 19.9 urban , 36.9 extra urban , average 28 mpg for a standard car .

Guessing that was a diesel, which makes that around 45mpg. So not too bad...

Sounds like there is something wrong with your mates one if it's only doing between 12 and 16 mpg. !

It's on a blue fin. Spoke to some once else who's seeing 28 across a tank in a 325 bhp example.

I no you don't get one for economy but I'm only 23 so needs to be doing 20 mpg plus

I usually put £25 in each time i fill up and get about 70 - 80 miles on that with a mixture of driving styles but a lot of it is just short journeys to and from work which is about 3 miles each way so i'm sure it's not running very economically on those short runs, obviously once it's warmed up it would be running more economically.

250-280 miles to a tank and 330 on a motorway run. That was what I got with an exhaust and a flash remap.

55 litre tank I think?

Well got it and got it home. Well pleased with it.

Although, it's going straight in for a hybrid turbo and live map as it got its arse well and truely handed to it by my Clio trophy on the way home which is ever so slightly disappointing.

I had a 290bhp one a few years ago and would get 220/230 miles too a tank taking it easy to work and back ect

But if I would do a long motorway journey (not doing 60 as that's boring)

Just a steedy constant speed 75/80? Would get more like 280/300 miles too a tank

As you know I have a heavy foot so in these figures there will be a few blasts
