Might be like the paint and covered for the first year only. Do you have the body inspection stomps in your service book?

Ford dont stand on any warranties these days

My old van came with a 6 year anti corrosion warranty but they wont pay for the rust that came through

Ford customer service stinks , they sell you new vehicles with warranties they wont stand on

That's pretty shitty!
I think in a lot of cases you're probably at the mercy of a crap dealer who doesn't follow up with Ford properly and backup your claim. TBH if that were me in both cases above and I wasn't satistfied i'd keep taking it higher and higher until it was resolved.

Maybe it's worth going on a 500 forum or focus forum to speak with other owners of their experience and how they have managed to get it solved.

I'm sure the 3m wrap used on the focus rs500 is not available anymore, my friend had to get his complete car redone after problems with the 3m stuff.

Well we had all the stamps plus service history with ford on the fiesta st. Took the car to the dealer (polar Warrington) as there was corrosion on the tailgate edges. They took photos and went away to ford. A few days later they called and said they will not cover the corrosion. This was a red rag to a bull with mr mrs as its her car. She called ford crc and spoken to some dim bint on the phone who tried to fob her off. After escalating through the management teams within ford someone finally agreed that the issue was covered under warranty and should be repaired and should not of got to the stage where he was involved.
Polar done the repair but had 3 goes of doing it correctly!

It seems the way of the world these days, fob off attitude and no customer service or forward thinking, people remember bad experiences and it wont do there brand any good in the future, messing people about with things that should be covered is a terrible business practice and ford should be ashamed, there's been a lot lately on here about not honouring or wriggling out of things that should be covered, things like stereos not working on new cars and then excuses on why its not covered, my ford radio is 26 years old and works spot on, seem to be going backwards

hope you get it sorted

You would think after spending a lot of money on a car they would be more willing to look after people. As that will generate more custom.

well finally after going to ford in august 2013 i have been told by fords warranty dept that its fair wear and tear what a load of shit they havnt even read there own dealer warranty paperwork that comes with the car it states in black & white 3 yrs for horizontal surfaces and 5 for vertical surfaces but theres no mention of poor original fit edges tucked round 3-4mm which puts the vinyl under pressure to lift ,stretching it into the n/s doorshut which means its now bubbling all the way down the shut, the o/s side skirt has two bits covering it they must have run out of a wide enough piece they covered the btm of the cill and then gone from the doorshut down and over the bottom piece already fitted overlapping it !!!!! think its going to end up with a solicitor getting involved
