Default bright green liquid

I have a small minor leak from the left hand side of the bay some where.

Had a better look today when I was copper greasing my front pads

Leak is coming from a metal pipe on the drivers side but it's bright green and the water tank has pink coolent

What would that liquid be? Is this leak a common problem?

Depends if it's a crack in the pipe itself or just a seal on a joint.

Just a thought, some times coolant looks different colours, so just make sure it is/isn't ac leak or coolant.

the green stuff is tracking dye that is added when the AC is refilled...so that you can spot where there is a possible leak in the AC system.
you are supposed to use an UV light and glasses to spot the leak..as it is ultraviolet color...so ..if you can actually see that much liqiud...its a big leak.

does your AC work at all?its should not work if its a leak that big...even if the AC is missing a couple of hundred grams of AC refrigerant...the system will not work.

sounds like its powersteering fluid you got coming out..

the AC is not fluid..so it should not come out in drop form..

It's your power steering pipe they rot and leak away slowly. Take your front bumper off and look above your chargecooler rad you should notice it letting out little drops. They've made a steel one so it does not rot get one ordered before it gets worst.

Harry I noticed the leak when I took drivers side wheel off as the metal pipe can be seen from there and it was slightly dripping

Yeah it gets worse after time mate, mine started off a little leak and then started making power steering noises. Check your reservoir and see if it's low.

Best place to get the part from is Carparts express.

Is it? I bought some gen. ford antifreeze from my dealer a couple of weeks ago and it was still the pink stuff.

focus rs coolant should be pink and has a 5 year life, the green has a 3 year life.
