Default Mk1 RS newbie

Hi all, i have recently sold my mk2 FRS to free up some cash for my house move. I'm going to look at a mk1 FRS tomorrow, 53plate, 100k miles with FSH, 2 previous owners, standard bar a recirc dump valve and forge actuator.

Questions i have, probably been asked loads of times before but i'm not that familiar with the mk1.

1. I see superchips have a sale on and are offering their +25bhp map for £199 at the moment. What are your opinions, surely a no brainer at that price??

2. The charge cooler, what power is this good for and how reliable is it?

Finally, any tips for me tomorrow when i go for a look at this one tomorrow?

Thanks in advance

I went for a look and had a drive today, mechanically the car is spot on. Lots of reciepts. Bodywork isn't the greatest, rear arches are getting tatty, rust round boot handle and surface rust inside the spare wheel well. Slam panel looks tatty, surface rust. Definitely needs paint. Few marks on the wheels with recent tyres. Interior is good, just needs a good clean. Crack on windscreen too.

What's is worth? I wouldn't like to pay more than £4k due to the paint it needs.

I would say £4k is fair considering the bodywork mate
