Question Mk1 Focus Brakes

The girlfriend was driving down the road and came to brake and the pedal went straight to the floor with no resistance. I changed the master cylinder and it made no difference so i changed the servo, both these parts where from my local scrap yard. The car now has a brake but it is alittle spongy so i have bled it again and again but their is no air coming out now. The system does not seem to have any fluid leaks but like I say its spongy. the car is a Focus 1600 zetec on a 02 plate with 100,000miles

Any ideas please

I assume as you don't mention it the car has no abs ?
I would start by bleeding the master cylinder, to ensure no trapped air is there, then if ok clamp all four brake pipes at the wheels on the flexy pipes, see what the pedal is like, it should be very hard, release one clamp at a time, and try the pedal, it will go sloppy when the duff one is released.
If the car has rear drums ?, look at the e brake adjustment first, another trick is to apply the e brake and then see what the pedal is like, if then a lot better it is almost certainly e brake adjustment is out.
