Default ST170 Accelerator Cable Problem

I've noticecd recently that when I put my foot down on the accelerator pedal it isn't very responsive alos the pedal seems 'floppy' is this just a case of adjusting the accelerator cable? The car drives ok just seems lacking in power when I put my foot down straight away, seems to take a second or two to acknowledge its being pressed!

Also were is the accelerator pedal located and is it easy enough to adjust?

The cable runs across the top of the cam cover from left to right, the adjuster is on the left side of the cable. They are known to need adjustment to fully open the butterfly. I ported my throttlebody and throttle response is crisp and instant, but there is a flutter at 2000rmp as there are with most and i have a remap

The cable passes through the upper part of the cam cover from left to right is the knob on the left side of the cable. They are known to need to adjust the throttle fully open.

Have adjusted the cable and pedal seemed a lot better for a day or so. But has started to feel a bit 'loose' again. Could this be an issue with the accelerator cable or pedal itself?

Correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure there was a recall on some cars regarding throttle cable...

Its in relation to is path through the engine bay...

They recalled the accelerator cables as the shorter ones could cause a vibration to be felt through the accelerator pedal, that was all. I still have the shorter cable and cant say i have ever felt any vibration. The longer cables look stupid any way as it means the cable is draped right over your cam cover

just bump this thread, but this sounds alot like whats happening with mine, although i have no basis to compare as ive just bought it.

ill put the pedal right down, seems to take a second to respond. Also i get a very light tapping, very rapid through the pedal and i would describe the pedal as being light, although like i said i dont know what it was like before.

Any suggestions?
