Default GEM Module - Ford Focus

Hi folks

I have been told that I require a new GEM module for my 1.8tdci sport 2006. There is several electrical problems with the car at the moment. Where is a good place to get one and how simple is it to fit/setup?

I currently have no:

rear window wiper
rear window washer
rear fog light
electric mirrors
electric windows
front window washers
front fog lights

I am hoping that they are all linked. I have already changed the altenator and a cable that runs between the battery and the starter that has a module in it to.

Have you checked the main fuses in the engine bay fuse box? I have never heard of a GEM failing before. It will need to be re-programmed by a ford dealer unfortunately.

I would check the connections on the GEM Module first mate ....

Its under the glovebox !!!! - easier to get at it if you remove the glovebox though.

What was the code read from the OBDII ????

The auto-electrician had said that, when ever they were running their diagnositics checks they would reset and not complete as there is something wrong with the module, so he advised getting it changed first. It was not a ford dealer but an independant auto-electrician.
