power steering fluid
when i got my mk1 RS it hadnt had the fluid changed and was very very black, i had it replced but now its gone blakc and steering heavy again,
question is do you think there was still some crap fluid in the pipes etc as garage only sucked out the cylinder and didnt "flush" all the pipes?
how is best for me to change it and completly empty n clear the system??
drain the cylinder and run the car with the pipe off constantly pouring fluid in until it runs cleaR?

Only way to ensure it is as completely changed as you can get is as you think run with return pipe off until clean fluid comes out, topping up as necessary.
The ATF will go black this is due to the seals having a black dye added to the mix at manufacture of the seals, same discolouration you get in master cylinders due to the seals.
