not hard to fit if you buy proper kit with the necessary blank for fuel rail and fittings etc

but alot of mixed views on these i have read many a comment on them some good some bad each to their own i have had a few cars with these on and not had any problems hope this sort of helps

Countless people have had these fitted and seen no results pre and post dyno....

Not really worth the money... IMO

You would most probably get more BHP from a "good service"

what mods have you done already?

might be worth doing some more tried and tested mods first eg, induction kit and exhaust after a good service to make sure everythng is good

how i understand the mixed reveiws, it seems to be big power turbo cars dont gain much but little hatchs do....maybe im wrong but thats the way it appears to me

there isnt really any mods to the engine just a miltek cat-back i want the manifold and sport cat but pumaspeed said they only have a few left and they arnt making anymore dont no if its true but if it is then im stumped as id need about Ł700 sharpish, if i was to buy the power boost valve i would get a prefesional to fit it and set it up, im not trying to gain big bhp just quicker acceloration, induction kit is going on soon, i looked at a remap but im only going to gain around 8hp for Ł250 didnt think it was worth it i would if i did everything else, just need to decide about the boost valve if its no good i would rather use the Ł100 else where

no i havent changed cams or owt i dont no how deep to go with the engine
with it only been a 1.6 i would of thought a lot of cash would have to be spent to get some real power and in that case id rather save the money and get a st, but theres around 4 years before i want to sell the car so it will do me just to make the acceloration quicker but without spending loads

cam's aint to deep in the engine..

and a remap does a lot more than just give you an 8bhp increase in outright power,
its picks up better, increases ecconamy, and helps power all through the rev range.

i would go for the remap myself.

by the time you got a garage to fit and set it up, it would cost about the same as a remap anyway...

Dont waste your money on a power boost valve, there is no need to add more fuel to your engine. If you want to improve acceleration, strip the car out or get a lightened flywheel. The 1.6 is a horribly restrctive engine, the MOST cost effective thing is to do an engine change or buy a faster car
