Default running costs frs

How do chaps, currently got a williams 3, but its costing me a bit in keeping it on the road, so i'm debating shoping her in for a focus rs, fancy something newer and more reliable? so i'd like to know what the running costs are like on them, i've heard fuel can be a nightmare, is this true, surely driven sensibly they return reasonable mpg?

Have they any weak points, that cost a fortune to repair/replace, whats the service intervals for them and are they expensive with it being an rs or are they similar to any other car?

Hopefully i can afford one , insurance is not much more than the williams

cheers

Bill

They're not that bad mate on fuel, driven sensibly. Servicing costs are again not too bad, but obviously more than a normal Focus. The service interval is 12,500, which is bloody good IMO. My advice is to buy as low mliage one as you can afford. I paid £14K for mine with 19,000 miles on the clock in Feb, but I was surprised at people asking for the same money with 40k+ on the clock!

Thats what i wanted to hear , like you say thats very good servicing intervals is that, will probably have around the 12k mark for one, so should be able to find a nice example

Used to average between 20-24 on mine before i went mad with mods The FRS only gets expensive it you dont look after it, thrash it, etc otherwise daily running is fine Plus get a specialist to maintain the car as that will save you £££ over using Ford
