Lots of cars run a charge carrier pipe across the rocker cover, its not uncommon at all. Its just two jubilee clips to take them off most of the time anyway.
Some really neat looking installs there, the yellow one has a manifold design similar to the PD CVH-T design, all vey nice installs.
Here's my turbo Focus, but it's and ST170 engine not a Zetec, so will be a bit different from what your looking for mate, but you get the idea....

I'm not saying it doesn't work Simon, I just think its a poor design. Cramming everything in when it would just be easier to move the battery back and have the pipe work going down on the left side of the engine. Like the yellow one or like the Pro Alloy intercooler for the Focus RS

Very impressive that, fair play! Should do well at TOTB if your planning on doing it
What dimensions is the intercooler and have you got any pics of the cossie breather kit and where all the hoses connect?
Cheers!

I'll see how it does at the New Schoold PF Thrash before deciding weather to enter it at TOTB.
The Intercooler... I think its 700x220x65mm.
I cant take any pictures at the moment because the car is with Ian Howell at Area 6 being improoved.

So I take you don't have work done by Power Engineering anymore then?
I should be doing a thrash with Fast Ford sometime this year, if I can get my ass in gear to fit bits sitting on the floor!
How did you fit the intercooler, it must be as low as the front splitter?

Hell No!! I had a Huge fall out wih Power Engineering when they decided to take the piss out off me and treat me like an idiot. Its an Area 6 car now.
Im not to worried about the Front bumper because its comming off very soon.
The intercooler is mounted to two brackets that have been welded to the under side of the front impact bar.

Ah right, I see. Because I'm making my own intercooler system and its quite similar, but at the same time being completely different...if you get me! But mine is slightly smaller, width wise because it would hang lower than the bumper.
I kinda guessed about PE pal, not many ppl share the same fondness of them Good lad for standing up for yourself! You can't get better for a Zetec than Ian Howell...

Except I didnt to that silly speed on an ST box. I did it using Ian Howells Gearbox off his old focus.
The one he did 176.6mph for a Performance Ford shoot.

If anyone's interested, i have a Zetec Turbo engine for sale at the moment, built by the same place as Ad's - Power Engineering.
Covered 5,000 miles and has made 300bhp+ on the dyno.
PM me if you're interested!
The zetec's are very responsive to forced induction, 250bhp is achievable on standard blocks but i wouldn't go higher than that without rods and pistons.
I've just sourced the ones for my new engine direct from the states and was shocked how great the exchange rate makes buying from there at the moment
