Bluefin advice please
Mate has a RS Focus and been offered a bluefin chip for £150. Is this a good deal? Also, will the car need setting up in any way once fitted and how much bhp will this give or does it depend on the chip. He's been told 35 bhp. Does this sound right ? cheeRS

No car won't need setting up and £150 is really good deal for bluefin as new one cost £450-£500 but make sure it has been reset as you can only fit it to one car after that you need to send the unit to Superchips to be reset and that will probably cost you £££. Superchips only advertise a 26 bhp increase in power so 35 bhp is a bit optimistic. I would recommend a de-cat or sportcat as this adds another 12-16 bhp.
To test if bluefin has worked, the boost gauge goes up to about 1 bar standard and 1.3 bar (well into the red) after bluefin is installed.
