Changing The turbo focus rs
Right i need to get my head around this...
Gt25 turbo running 18psi will give 285 290 bhp
So what psi does a Gt28 run at to give over 300bhp?
What can the bottom end of a focus rs handel?
Does anyone no the compression ratio?
Cheers
Jim

Not sure but if you read Performance Ford magazine, over the past year there has been a few features of guys who have got their FRS's up to 360+ bhp without touching bottom end. I read somewhere that the bottom end standard is pritty strong, but I have also read that a few guys have put in WRC bottom end running gear.
I'm fancying a GT 28 upgrade but my main concern is how the hell do I get the power to the road I mean I already have to ease off and feather the power to the front wheels to avoid wheelspin and thats with GGR air filter,GGR sport cat, Bluefin, dump valve and Milltek cat back exhaust. Think I may need more grippy rubber, I'm Michelin Pilot Sport 2's at the moment so I will maybe try Yokahama Parada's as they seem to be popular on alot of feature cars.
Keep sharing the info guys

If you want alot of good information get back issue of Performance Ford magazine April 2005 it has good info.
Also Phone guys @ Pumaspeed, Pumabuild, Primary Designs and Engine advantages and pick their brains. I've been doing this and am learning more and more all the time. I'm in the process of gathering info on this and like the Primary Designs set up with GT28/32 one off hybrid turbo but still not totally convinced after speaking to guy at Pumaspeed so I'm still considdering my options.
There is also bits of information on all of their websites appart from EA their site is still under construction.
Hope this helps

Yokohamas it will be then next time I need rubber.
Found this in performance ford mag
Adrenaline Race & Performance has just released its own traction barr kit costing £325 and they tested it on Nim's 400+bhp FRS with impressive results. Says it reduces wheel hop.

You dont need to touch the crank, its good for 500hp.
A GT28rs around 20psi plus a few other mods is good for 350bhp.
I know a few FRS' running round with 350bhp on a standard bottom end.
Give GUZZLER a PM he works for Power Engineering, they have done a few conversion on the RS.
Have you concidered just upgrading the compressor housing on the standard GT25? that will be good for aroun 330bhp

Im getting this done in the next few weeks. Just waiting on my milltek downpipe (they are well behind or something) and my boost controller.
I spoke to a man from collings performance and he is running 1.8 bar and 380bhp. He has changed the compression and the actuator on the gt28rs turbo.
