I've got the Pro Alloy one. It's one of those must have mods but you may not really notice the difference unless you could try the two back to back on the same (hot day). Can only help though!

Prices from E/A
Front mounted kit fitted: £1364 Inc Vat
Front mounted kit supplied £850 Inc Vat
The kit is quite simple to fit the hardest part is turning the turbo housing 180 degrees and making a bracket to fit the wastegate.
Turbo mod’s £ 150 – 200 but this is included if they do the fitting.
It works out a lot cheaper to fit an upgraded charge cooler but EA have said the advantage with the front mount is its weight.
The charge cooler system weight a tone! As they have just explained to me the Air to Air front mounts do not require any pumps water etc so you are losing weight which can
Only be a good thing.
Im going to have a serious think about this although I only really wanna achieve 325-330 bhp it will work at more efficiently and if I ever want anymore power it only a case of changing the turbo o and maybe start thinking about the bottom end.
Cheers,
Jim

Ive got a friend out in new york who reckons he can get gt28 turbo that will fit a focus rs for £650 quid.
Im thinking i might go for a turbo and front mount for the summer
I want a max bhp of 330 which i can turn down for every day driving with my apexi.
The front mount looks the dogs balls maybe if we could get a couple of us together e/a might do a group discount.
Cheers,
Jim

Why dont you go for this?
www.burtonpower.com in the keyword at the top type in PROCC2
All you need to do is upgrade to this, not have a whole new system install

Think thats what this whole topic is about
I'd be up for the £650 turbo. And if EA will give a group discount for front mount air to air intercooler I'd maybe consider that aswell. I spoke to another ford mods guy and he kinda slagged off the EA pipework for their intercooler, he said it could be done a bit better

Anyway for people that can be bothered: -
If E/A Pipe work ant all that it might be worth talking to fusion and getting a couple of set made up.
If we can get a couple of people involved to make it more viable I would be happy to use my car to prototype the pipes for fusion or any custom fabrication company to do the work.
Then all we need to do is find out the spec of the intercooler needed for the job.
If anyone is interested and would like to follow this up let me know.
Cheers,
Jim.

Jim,
This ain't such a bad idea - Theres a company just up the road from me called GRS Motorsport - they make intercoolers for the RS500 and all sorts of other cars you may have heard of them - the owner is a regular at the Somerset RS owners Club - to which i belong - might be worth a shout.
I know he isn't too keen on project stuff because of the businesses normal revenue being good but he may if there are a group of us.

Willow,
I have herd very good things about GRS. I think there is a more cost effect way to having a front mount on a focus Rest with a little bit of research between us I think we could get something going.
Maybe it would be worth you having a chat with him I am going to call a few custom fabrication companies and see if they fancy doing some prototyping.
Radtech do some custom coolers as well maybe worth a phone call? If we could get a couple of us together we could come up with a product that could be sold.

Agreed!!!
It's a novelty surely!! - the unit can't be much more than a couple hundred + the pipe fabrication.
Probably 450 tot for parts, that means 300% markup!!!!

Just thought I'd point out that after perusing through this months performance ford mag, I noticed that in the vital statistics section 2 FRS that don't have the EA air to air intercooler are sporting better 0-60 and 0-100 times than Nims EA 400+BHP car. They do have the charge cooler upgrade and hybride roller bearing turbos though.
So the weight advantage is questionable?
And the extra cost for little or no result
It's all about results for me

Don't think an air to air system has yet been developed to give any improvements over the charcooler system, of which an upgrade gives better results over standard and doesn't cost much. Besides, I've got a nice shiney Bailey tank for my chargecooler system, I'm not getting rid of that!
