Default ++++Problem with Focus Rs Help ++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I have a problem with my Focus Rs any constructive comments would be appreciated.

Problem: -

Under hard acceleration in 1st 2nd and 3rd I get a really funny noise coming from the turbo, It’s like a squeaky belt noise but mechanical noise if you no what I mean. I was running a baileys dump valve and the problem was only intermittent. Last night I fitted the Standard re-cycling dump valve and the noise is there every time I put my foot down.

Any ideas??????

Any chance it is an air leak under boost?

Are all your hose tight?

Has one of the hoses split? And it is opening under boost?

Had this before, sounds like a metallic squeal!

Make sure that all the jubille clips are tight on the hoses as if one of these is loose it sounds like a high pitched squeal.

A split in one of the boost hoses is another option as the split will not open up until under boost and also make the squealing noise.

Absoloute worst case scenario is the turbo roller bearing......

Hope this helps!
