Default 2.0 tdci vss speed sensor question

Hi,

Does anyone know where the speed sensor is located on the 2.0 tdci focus had a good look around but can't find it. also cant find a reference to it in the Haynes manual.

Any help or pictures etc would be very helpful!

Thanks,
Andy

If its a mk2 Focus (or even some very late mk1)... they don't have a VSS the vehicle speed info comes from ABS via high speed can to PCM and instruments.

This is correct after another hour or so swearing and screaming last night I still didn't manage to find the vss... it doesn't have one despite the garage saying that's what I need and the part being on the system under the reg!

So the next question is with diagnostics code c1155 N/S ABS wheel speed sensor.. should I just jump to buying the sensor and fitting it or is there any other investigations I can do to check the faults origin?
