MK1 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi lowered suspension and 17"alloys
Hi all
I have just brought a coilover kit for my mk1 1.8 TDCI edge Focus, which I plan to install a 30mm lowered coilover suspension kit and 17" ST170 alloys.
I am thinking I may need spacers to prevent the wheels scrubbing. I currently have the standard 16" edge alloys with 205/55/R16 tyres and what I wanted to know is has anyone done anything similar and if so which spacers if any did they use (3, 5, 10, 16, 20mm spacers).
Appreciate the tyres I have on are different from manufacturer spec (should be 205/50/R16) and they scrub every now and then bit it was from a time when I have little cash and National had a hug one get one free on the tyres. The actual wheels and tyres I would Ike to put on are the standard multi spoke ST170 alloys with 215/45/R17, does anyone have this setup and if so do I need to go lower profile to reduce the chance of scrubbing.
This is my first post and my first go at modding so any help is much appreciated.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
you should be fine with those tyre sizes.
i have a mk2 and went from 205/0/16 to 235/35/19 with no issues, oh and the wrong offset!
