Focus 1.6 TDCI 2005 - poor power below 2k
Hi all,
Been a while since I posted here.
I've always had this lack of power with my wifes 1.6 TDCI its a 2005 model.
When I first bought I found the intercooler pipe was crack I've repair this and it was better. I've scanned for errors and MAF came up which I replaced about a year ago.
I've checked all the intercooler pipe work and all appears to be good.
I did take of the tip to check the turbo and couldnt find any "play" but did notice it was stiff to turn than normal but i started the car with the pipe off to check it spins and it was fine.
I've done plenty of work on VAG TDI's and know adjusting cam timing make a big difference (mostly because the cam runs injectors etc).
Could the timing be out? (no diesel pump on this)
Cheers
Bobby
