sticky fuel gauge?
Hi there,
I'm new to the forum so bare with me!
Today i filled up at my local Shell garage on the way to work, I have a MK1 Focus 1.8 TDCI LX. She took £70 no problem.
Left the station, the fuel pump rose to full, I had done roughly 10 miles before i noticed that the gauge was on completely EMPTY with the light on!!
I pulled over and turned her off then started her, tried knocking the plastic cover just to see if it would budge. I couldn't do anything else, do to what I wear for work - stupid reason i know but hey!
Couldn't see any leakages so i proceeded to work for another 8 miles or so with no problems.
any help would be much appreciated
Regards,

I've had a similar issue, be interested to see what the problem is.
Mine had been run low (20 miles or so after the light came on) so wondered if the sender could have got stuck.
