Default Ford Focus 1.8 Diesel

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and wondering could anyone help me or advice me on my situation.

I have a 2007 1.8 ford focus diesel. Black smoke is constantly coming from the exaust through all gears at revs 1500-3000, after 3000 there's no smoke. Also the car has seriously lacked power and hesitate's sometimes when accelerating. I had the egr valve cleaned and this help a bit but it gradually went back been the same. There's 95000 miles on the clock and had it serviced a couple of weeks back and again this helped it a bit but again got worse.

Thanks in advance for you help.

you need to get it tuned as it sounds like its over fuelling. a remap will deffo help but stick to a reputable company and not a tuning box off ebay!

As above, get it set up properly and a remap will likely work wonders.

Thanks for the reply. Turns out there was a spilt pipe connecting to the turbo, got the pipe replaced and it's like a new car again, no smoke and the power is back
