Focus TDCi 2003
Hi
I have a 2003 Focus (110,000 miles) which runs very well, quiet engine usually etc. However, there are a few issues - would be good to know if it's normal/age etc or potential problem:
1) Engine sometimes makes a loud chugging sound - I thought a helicopter was flying over when I first heard it. As I said, engine is usually very quiet.
2) Steering sometimes feels a bit heavy - not sure if it's just the car style because I have only had it a week and may not be used to it.
3) The other day, I had my foot on the clutch when I stopped and there was a strange rattly noise coming from the engine. It stopped when I took my foot off the clutch but always started again as soon as I depressed the clutch again. When I started the engine later it didn't do it again.
Any advice/info gratefully received. Just hoping I haven't bought a lemon!!
Thanks

Wow! Thanks, I'll call the garage I bought it from. It came with a 6 month warranty which includes the clutch so I'll ask them to look at it. Cheers! Appreciate the info!
