Good price for a 52 Ghia ?
There's a 52 Ghia with 78k on the clock FSH, full MOT for the Parkers guide price of £2,180, is it anygood as these diesels, even TDDI are worth their weight in gold.
The issue is insurance being a ton more than a zetec when they're effectively the same - both carry 'ghia' badge on rear windows ?.
Also, is the TDCi much better than TDDI which plays up at 90k and where does the TDi fit in ?.
Sorry for the numerous questions but the Focus' are held in higher regard than the Vaux', ideally looking for a 1.7CDTi but like hen teeth.
Cheers guys!

The Focus derv engine is the 1753CC engine which went on for donkeys years in Escort vans etc, they are not bad.
I am not well up on the Diesels but I don't think they have DMF's in these?
The common rail variants, typically seem to be troublesome.
They seem to be fairly reliable, unlike the MK3 Mondeo lumps which are plagued with injector, DMF etc problems.

Common rail as opposed to belt!!!!!!!!!!!
Common rail is the means of fuel delivery and means that the injectors are fed by a common rail from the fuel pump to each injector at a hight pressure. As opposed to the older (more reliable) method of having one injector pipe from the pump to each injector.
The TDdi uses the older system whereas the newer TDci uses the common rail, hence the C for common rail.
