MK5 Fiesta LHS Indicator Stalk Dodgy
Hi,
I'm posting for my sister's car which happens to be my old car (which I seem to still care about more!).
It's a 2001 1.3l Petrol Ford Fiesta Flight.
The problem is that occasionally when turning on the lights or flashing the main beam the main beam will stick on, blinding people, even when the stalk has returned after the flick (if that makes sense). The problem with the stalk also seems to be getting progressively worse as after driving it recently I've noticed that when indicating sometimes the lights won't actually come on even though the stalk has moved to the correct position, or they'll start and then go off.. So you then have to move it back and put it back into position again until the indicator lights do stay on.
I want to know if this is an issue with the indicator stalk itself or if the problem lies somewhere else? Also if I need to change the indicator stalk what's involved?
Cheers!

Bad stalk or electrical fault. I have the same car but with the better 1.25 Zetec-S engine. My indicators don't return when the wheel turns. A problem I've gotten used to, seems to be a common problem with older Ford's my '02 KA(k) had the same problem with the indicator stalk not returning.

Our new problem is that we've managed to snap 2 seized spark plugs in the cylinder head...
