Help Needed please - Interior heating controls!
Hi - Really need help on this one as I'm lost - took stock stereo unit out of my 2003 MK6(?) fiesta - just bought- to replace with single din stereo.
When it came to refitting the heater control panel, I know have 2 problems :-
1) I just couldn't get the air distribution flap operating shaft back onto the knob - so pulled, and the cable unit - as in pic came free altogether! - Could anyone tell - or better still show in a pic' how the heckers I can get this back into the correct place? - Assume it's behind yet another panel that isn't normally removed to replace the stereo!
2) Seem to have lost the footwelll end of the temp control cable which unhooks from the flap in drivers side footwell - I only disconnected the cable at the operating flap - but now can't see any cable at all to reconnect! - Again, am guessing it's somewhere behind the centre panel - which isn't normally removed to replace the stereo.
Would Have att'd pics to try and explain - but can't poss cos I'm a newbie on here?
Many thanks to anyone with any ideas - have got the Haynes on this, but doesn't really seem to cover what I've cocked up on!
-Hope they help and someone can point me in right direction to sorting these 2 prob's - (and not a Ford dealer! pse) Local car stereo fitting mob wanted £80 to do this job = after removing endless screws/ torx bolts and nearly breaking my neck I can see why!!
(Would love to meet the guy who actually desinged the interior of this model...............and kick him in the &^*(( - I mean 200 screws and half the dash just to remove the stereo!!!!!)
Many thanks to anyone with any ideas - have got the Haynes on this, but doesn't really seem to cover what I've cocked up on!
