There will be an automatic tensioner which you will have to put a spanner on to relieve the tension to take the belt off.

On an 02 it could be the mk6 shape. If so its a stretchy belt which from ford you get a fitting kit and instructions in with the belt. Hope this helps. If you PM me the reg i can check on Etis for you

It'll be a stretchy belt if no obvious tensioners.

Be a 2002> model I presume (mk6 in forum speak..I hate that)

Glenn_'s pic shows the older model! (Fiesta 96)

You learn something new everyday. I thought these would of had a tensioner. Why do they change things all the time for.

A lot of things have them now, well since 2002 ish, so not exactly a new thing.

'Meant' to cut the belt off then fit a new one, you get a poxy little tool that clips to the bottom pulley that helps winds the belt on, and a little hook that keeps the belt on the alternator to stop it coming off the pulley as you wind it on.

Great fun.

Doh! You can do the later Transit FWD ones easily by just taking the pulley off the PAS pump.
