fan blower not working
Hi. New to this forum and hoping for help.
Have a Fiesta 1.2 on an 06 plate.
1 day the fan was working, the next it stopped. On all settings.
Took out 30 amp fuse and replaced with similar that I took out of ABS.
Switched on ignition and tried fan. Heard a click but no luck with fan.
Replaced fuse in ABS slot and now ABS warning light comes on.
So, fuse blown. Can replace ABS fuse but where to go now?
Understand it could be resistor but any way of narrowing down problem?
Thanks, in advance

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Sounds like the motor is stuck or there is a short in the circuit if the fuse blows straight away.
To access the motor:
Remove the glove box.
Detach the central junction box from the bulkhead and lay it to one side.
Unscrew and remove the bolt from the defrost air duct.
Remove the defrost air duct.
Disconnect the blower motor connector. (replace fuse with motor disconnected to rule out that in the circuit)
Detach the air intake flap actuation cable.
Remove the air intake flap.
Remove the blower motor.
Reinstall the components in reverse order.
