Lots of issues!
Hi everyone, this is my first post on the site, I own a 2004 Fiesta Flame 1.4
Unfortunately it isn't without its problems and that's why I'm here
So I'll list them:
1. A crackling from the instrument cluster on engine startup - Upon further inspection and going into the cluster's diagnostic mode, a code displayed EE FAIL/85
2. Last week when it got really cold, the drivers door locked stopped unlocking when using the remote, the deadlock can still be heard operating, but the door does not lock or unlock with the remote, it has to be done with the key
3. The ABS light has come on, but there are no obvious problems with the system, Im not sure if this has something to do with the instrument cluster problems?
4. A host of other errors listed in the computer that I believe are caused by the cluster, namely: Fuel level sensor circuit fault, Vehicle Speed Sensor Fault, plus, the ECU shows a substantially higher fuel level than the cluster display does
I do have another instrument cluster ready to fit, but when a mechanic attempted to fit it, the Immobiliser locked the engine down, the code wasn't supplied with my car so at the moment we cannot replace the cluster, as the old one is the only one that won't lock down the immobiliser
So, any ideas, anyone? :P
Thanks
Ben
