Default Brembos, MK5, Possible?

Hello chaps.

I got thinking the other night about fitting some Brembos from a MK1 FRS to my MK5 ZS and I would like to ask a few questions.

First of all has anyone on here done it? I am registered on a fiesta OC but responses to things which are not mondeo conversions or require a little fabrication and shot down very quickly.

I have been looking through this thread here...

https://passionford.com/forum/genera...-calipers.html

Which has really got me thinking.

Now I have read that people are taking Focus brakes from the ST170 as a upgrade on the ZS, so if the ST170 brakes fit then surely the MK1 FRS brembos would be a straight fit?

What size wheels does the MK1 FRS run? At a guess I would say 17"/18". My MK5 runs 16"s and i do not want to go much larger than this.

Now after reading the above the 20V Coupe and the Alfa 166 come with 4 pot bremos and fit under 16" wheels and are very similar to the FRS calipersand any differences can be ironed out with a fairly simple adaptor plate. So based on that I would be looking to take some from one of these vehicles in the hope I could fit them under my 16"s.

So what I would like to know is has anyone done this? I will certainly like to give it a go and I am expecting it to take a bit of trial and error but thought it may be a interesting conversion.
