Hello, I've been having trouble with my 07 fiesta bonnet. I solved my first problem which was that the bonnet wouldn't shut, now i have a bigger problem! The plastic 'arm' you pull which is under the bonnet has snapped. I think all my slamming and fiddling has caused this. I am wondering how to fix it and if i can do it myself. I didn't want to open the bonnet again if i can't open it all the way or then close it again.

I have the piece of plastic and its about 6 inches long so i'm thinking it would be awkward/impossible to get something under the bonnet and pull the other end that it was attached to.

make a hook out of an old coat hanger pull the boot release in the car then hook around where the plastic usually comes out and pull should release it done it many of times for my customers
