focus st170 front calipers on fiesta st
Can the focus st170 discs and calipers be fitted to the fiesta st? I have seen conversions using mondeo calipers but there is more pads available for the focus.

theres the same amount of pad options for the mondeo the mondeo st runs same pads as the rest of the mondeo range
ebc and cosworth do full range for the mondeo

As the car is going to be raced I would like to use ferodo DS2500. I have used these pads on a 400bhp scooby race car and had no problems so would like to use them again.

Hi there,
is there anywhere an exact description of how to do and what you have to mention when you make a brake conversion from stock to st170 discs, mondeo mk3 calipers front and rear?
I am thinking of mondeo calipers because they are a lot easier to get! Although there are some st170 calipers in ebay.co.uk, most of them do not ship to Austria^^
What is the difference between the mondeo mk3 and the focus st 170 caliper?
Can I use the Fiesta ST carrier with the mondeo calipers or do i have to mount other ones?
Most conversions you read about in the internet are just for the front axle, but I want to change the rear axle brake too, to keep the brake balance.
What is the minimum tyre size you can use with the 300mm discs, is 16" still possible?
I know that these are a lot of questions, but I just don´t want to buy parts and then they don´t fit
I really hope that you guys can help me^^
PS: Sry if my english is not that good, but I hope you understand what I wrote.

In the end I used mk3 mondeo calipers and sliders, focus st170 discs and mintex 1144 pads with 1144 pads on the rear with standard discs. They have held up ok so far with about 165-170 bhp engine doing a 20 min race round castle combe. When I uprate the power of the engine I may well get some Carbotec XP10s for the front and leave the rear as is.
I still have the standard 17s on the car I've thought about trying 16s but can't find anyone local who has some zetec s wheels that I can try on the car to see if they fit.
Hope this helps Dave

The rear just needs the carriers from a ST-170 and the fiesta caliper.
The front are Mondeo caliper and ST-170 discs.
Best way to go! Loads of opinions with pads and such here.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Just the fiesta st uses smaller carriers which also have smaller holes in the carriers for the bolts so you will have to drill the holes out in your hubs to match the focus carriers.

ok to sum this up, please correct me if I´m wrong:
on the front axle I use Mondeo mk3 calipers with the stock carrier but i have to drill new holes with a larger diameter. With pads for the mondeo caliper and discs from a st170(300mm 4x108).
on the rear axle i also use the stock carrier with new, larger mounting holes for the stock fiesta st caliper to fit the 280mm disc from a st170? Here i use can use the same pads as with the smaller, stock fiesta st disc.
Is this correct?

[1] Mondeo mk3 caiplers and carriers and pads and focus st170 discs
or
[2] Focus st170 cairrers and discs
on both you have to drill the hubs holes out to (its one of these) either 10mm or 12mm i forget.
Rear
[1] Focus st170 cairrers and discs
or
[2] Focus rs cairers and discs (DONT LET PEOPLE RIP YOU OFF THESE ARE THE SAME AS THE ST170 ITEMS)
Im not 100% on the fiesta but on the focus when you go from 250mm to 280mm you have to change the hand brake cable to....
