Recent FRST purchase
Seen this car tucked in the back of a dealership showroom last week while i was looking at another car through the window! Place was closed so i was on the phone to the guy first thing in the morning asking some questions as it didnt have a for sale sign or price on the window. Turns out he had bought it a couple of months back and never touched it so i went through for a look last week. Car is completely standard and never been tampered with at all. 68k miles on the clock with full service history and original bill of sale from 1991. Has a small bag with the recaro lumbar support pad and instructions lol. Original exhaust and tape player. Upon inspection it has minor small age related marks, scratches which can be expected with wearing the original paint. It has had a repair to the filler cap area but it has been completed to a high standard. The car has done 7k miles since the year 2000. The last thing to check was the engine which is the quietest cvh ive ever heard. No tapping or weird noises so i was happy with everything and just had to come to an agreement on a price which was settled very quickly
Plans for the car is to clean up the engine bay and keep everything totally standard. I will be looking for original parts to replace any worn items and get it to as high a standard as possible without getting to anal to drive the car. I just want a really clean orginal car to take to shows or meets.

[QUOTE=studabear;6620718]Looks great that does. can't think the last time I seen a unmolested example.[/QUOTE
I have never heard or driven a standard rs turbo before lol it felt very weird to drive. No dump valves or loud exhausts. Not the fastest thing in the world either but it doesnt need to be as the E30 cossie takes care of that bit Glad you like it.

I have a white escort cabby as well with the whole white with green stripes thing so they will both look good together parked up for a photo
Looking forward to getting stuck into this engine bay when i get home and get all my parts fitted. Painting the battery tray is a priority as it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Years ago I drove a standard series 1, slow as hell definately needed an upgrade. Still would own one again though.
