Are there any tuners that do this engine build, and all you provide is a zetec engine (1.8 or 2.0)?

The calibra turbo pistons work better in the zetec turbo engine as the compression would be far to low if they were fitted to the zvh engine what you need is the c20xe pistons fitted to the red top astra gte, they are available for around the £160 figure for a set of 4 .

Also i have a tendency to go for 150mm long m10 caphead bolts (rated 12.9)rather than non stretch cvh ones its just that you dont get that much engagement if you use the shorter cvh bolts and could strip the threads out of the block when torquing them down.

for more info on building you own go to jim hernes site.......................

When it comes to engine building, i'm a curious fellow, but i have a habbit of messing things up, so i would rather leave it to a pro.

Is there a website for fiesta frenzy / area six Davey8oy?

i assume the vauxhall XE pistons need the same modifications as the Calibra Turbo pistons to be fitted to the zetec rods. in which case the little end of the zetec con rod needs to be machined out to allow the larger gudgeon pin of the vauxhall piston to fit.

gavintwopies is absolutely correct in what he has said about usine the xe pistons and yes they do need to be machined on either face and the little ends made bigger to accomodate the pins to fit the zvh conrods - also needs 4 holes drilled in piston for the oil feed - however gavin does have milling machine and can build you the zvh bottom end as he has done mine - im sure if u flurttered yr eyes a little and asked him he could do it cheap for you - worked for me lol
