Default Amal Valve

Is there a way of testing if these work?

I have one and not sure if it's a good one, it's off my Cosworth, not sure if they are the same as the Escort

Put 12V across the terminals and it should click.

Do you think they are able to be repaired if it doesn't click?

I can't seem to find any new ones anywhere

I don't know for sure if they can be repaired but don't think so. I was advised to buy new when my one went tits up last year. Just checked the usual suspects MSD, GGR, Burton, Matt Lewis, R&B etc and looks like the amal valve is discontinued? Didn't hear about that to be honest...

If it's true I wonder will everyone be moving on and going boost controller, bleed valve or air injectors?

That's cool alright. I guess that means I'd have to make another trip to MSD for remapping the boost control electronically. All in due course!

Yes the amal valve is the same as the ERST one. If you need a replacement, and worried about getting a dodgy one. I do have a tried and tested one as a spare in my spare parts box.
