S2 RS Turbo.. Non Sunroof... Did they?
As per title,
Were there any genuine RS Turbos, that came from factory with no sunroofs.
Looking online, the answer is NO. But there are story's of a few early ones out there with no sunroofs...
I need to reshell my sunroof RS Turbo, but cant find a decent sunroof doner vehicle.
Thanks

Could the donor in need of the reshell not have the roof cut off?

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
As twins says, you can't transfer the ID anyway so I'd be looking for a shell without a sunroof as the sunroof is half the problem with an S2 rotting.

Yes they did make RS turbos without sunroofs, they were known as non custom pack. Also as a non custom model, they had no central locking and no electric windows.
There is no such thing as a motorsport shell for the S2 ERST, They were never rallied by Ford, But were built for I'm sure GRP N rallying in mind. Which lots of owners did use for that purpose.
Non custom models was an option during the early period of the MK4 Escort production, But this option was phased out roughly 1988. They can be found on C-E plates.
Incidentally the Series 2 was produced in 6 different colours... but that's for another thread.

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
Why would you need to use the donor car id out of interest.
Surely you would scrap the donor on paper via DVLC
You can buy non plated minis for a reshell.
