Default Rear brake compensator help

Hello. I am new to this forum. I took ownership of a series 2 90 spec rs in summer. I have started a stripping the rear end ready for some light restoration. I have got the rear brake compensators out. I am struggling to remove the brake lines from them currently. If i cannot remove, what can i fit to replace this set up. I want to keep the rear drum set up and as standard as possible. There appears to b loads of info about bias valves etc( and in line valves from a ka) but i have no real idea what these are. Is there an idiots guide on what i can put in place if i cannot save the original compensators. I will be posting pics along the way so would appreciate comments and thoughts. ( ( (when i know how to do it from my phone gallery)Thanks

The best way is to remove all the brake lines and all components.

Then fit a 22 or 23 rating master cylinder 6 brake lines and the compensators at the front.
These are available from any non ABS mk3/4 escort apart from rs16i or LHD versions.

There are also kits available with full braided lines and compensators etc ready to fit.

Thankyou for replying. Much appreciated. Started off as a light resto but now ended up a full resto. J

do you have any other compensators on yours or do the lines from the master go straight to those valves?
