can you still buy mef rear suspension?
Im looking to change my rear suspension so i can have it fully adjustable and have it set up properly. I dont want rose joints as the car will be for road use with the occasional track day so would like to keep the bushes. Can you still buy the mef suspension or is there other places that make them?
This is what im after...

I'm looking for the four parallel bars but I'm struggling to find anything secondhand!
There is a couple of places that can make 6 link kits i think, BUT they will be made with rose joints,
speak to jano at oddkidd creations as he makes them so might be able to help you out, i can't remember who else makes them but I'm sure there will be a few that are more than capable

They aren't hard to make, just the cost involved for all the parts.
I made my own and was surprised at the cost of all the bits let alone the labour time to build them and turn all the spacers on the lathe.

i was going to make my own as can't afford to buy a full kit just now and I'm pretty handy with a welder,, mccill motorsport stock all parts needed i think,
i was going to use 5/8" joints etc,,
Muz can you tell me what length are the tubes on the parallel bars?

I was thinking about making my own too, im not going to use rose joints so thatd save me a lot of money. Might even be able to use my powerflex bushs as there near brand new if i could get the correct size cds tube.

I used 5/8 x 5/8 joints and 3mm wall CDS seamless tube IIRC. I haven't got a clue how long the bars are, been a while since I built them.
I based mine on standard wishbone dimensions, though.

Ask me a question!
iTrader: (1)
my car has no bushes what so ever.
everything is either solid, rose jointed or chassis mounted. is great on road or track. but stating the obvious with bumps and pots holes etc. premature wear on joints and harsh hits on chassis sections like inner wings are not always upto it with dodgey repairs or delicate shells.
if fitting rear adjustable arms you should also use a bladded roll bar and droplinks to get the desired settings at the rear. There are three rollbars available either soft medium or hard also the blades have further adjustment to each side. Then the adjustable droplinks hold the rollbar and linkbars together.
it is a great mod if you setup the geometry properly which is explained in detail with choices or offset and suspension legs that would effect the overall setup.
In an ideal world you would also want a wide arch setup with 8j wheels 16in. 215 40 16 or wider if you can rubber with a crazy offest to make the best handling escort.
