did i just read that right - you paid Ł1700 for a cossie ecu, loom and injectors

Looks like Jano has had you over mate.

Would have been better off spending half of that on an aftermarket ecu, loom etc and still end up with a better ecu with more functions.

Cossie tax is a fucking joke

Ł1500 or Ł1700 or whatever price it was won't have been supply only . Take into account fitting and mapping plus whatever else was done at the time .

Just saying

That didn't include an ECU

Unfortunately, the only person that will ever sell it for even half as much as that is Jano as he's really the only person in that market. It's just not popular any more.

I think an Emerald K6 ECU can be installed for little more than that (maybe less) and with more functionality.

Jay, here is what you paid for attached.

As you can see the management system was fitted by yourself, then the car was sent down to me with a whole host of issues. Which are still listed on the site for you and others to follow with pics and info as the job was being done. I went out of my way to help you out on every part of fixing your issues at very reasonable rates.

Have a look at the list and add up the parts you were supplied at trade prices and see how much you saved to start with. Then take into account the amount of hours work involved in completing the tasks listed.

So I hope this helps some of you see the real value for the money spent.
I wont be getting into any debates but I thought it only fair before the thread goes off course.

Thanks and regards
Jano

Yes that was nearly an extra Ł2500 of work that wasn't in the price of the managment kit that was a bolt on job that were on about the bolt on kit was Ł1630+ not all the extra work that was don't that's a different matter also other issues that from you I was told it was running 1.6 bar of boost when I was told it would be doing 2 bar. I got it home put a boost gauge on and it was running 14 psi and running 10-1 on afr so mybe 8-1 as 10 is as low as my gauge reads not to mention any other the ignition mapping

THAT WAS AN EXTRA Ł2500 of work on top of the managment kit so that's not what we're talking about is it

Jay I have videos while mapping, you can clearly see the afr and also how the car is performing. Obvious reasons im not posting it due to legal reasons but you can view them on other sites. If for whatever reason it had changed once home or next day etc all it would of taken was a phone call to find out how, why and get it fixed. I see on another one of your posts on the forum where I replied to you with help and info what to check and to fix it, the management was in limp mode hence the afr's. I know you like getting involved and adjusting things yourself as you was also asking about adjusting boost etc shortly after. As for 2bar of boost your engine cant flow it, what else did you want me to do or say. Its not my fault is it, as for mapping you was welcome back anytime once you had fix the other stuff around the car you wanted to sort out like handling and braking. We could of then made the most of the car when it can go in a straight line and actually stop well.

afr will be shocking if you have errors on sensors, if a rolling road fixed the sensor issue then it will be right once again. What ever your told about mapping is from a rival company that want to charge you for a job which was as simple as that, which I did reply to.

you can clearly see the ecu is in limp mode from the graph. there is no threttle control and the map is way off for a cvh in limp mode with a cossie base on there. Any one with experiance should be able to read that from the graph

The only reason the graph has a spike is because there was a boost limiter left in the Ecu at 22 psi which is strange to say you said it was running 1.6 bar it never did run that with you as there was a boost limiter

Also I just made it home after my air filter fell off after half way home from leaving you and when I got home I went to put a chrome shield round my dizy cap to find out there was no carbon brush it was running on the left over Spring also the vernier pully that you fitted as also 4 degrees out which I have had other people telling me they had the same issues

That's strange it was set to 22psi and you still have 22psi?

=1.5bar so you are upset that it was 0.1b under what you thought? If I thought the engine would take or could flow more I would of done so. I would rather it safe than blowing it up at that point. You need to deal with other restrictions first.

Strange that I got home sorted the issues like timing out and dizy and suspension as you said then sent the ecu away to be sorted to my spec and it's now happy running 27 psi holding pressure and 300 Bhp. At the end of the day I wasn't saying anything about your work till you started I was saying what I paid for the bolt on kit simple as that that was nothing against you !!

The dizzy?
Thing is moving that will make no difference what so ever, it has no control over the management system as the phase sensor is on the camshaft.

Timing was set correct for cam shaft with lifters for your bottom end.

OK fair doo's then getting another few psi would of been nice, at that point I didn't feel happy running it, I don't want others to think that I will just turn boost up and hope for the best on an engine. Plus its just been repaired after having a seized cam in the head, a cheap bent turbo shaft, dead crank etc etc.. Didn't fill me with confidence as so much was wrong with it, if your happy running more then good for you and im happy that it is working as you believe it should be then.
